Penniless Airport guard returns half a million worth of cash |
People to this day believes that honesty is already gone. Most of the people wanted to have a great life even if it's a life filled with guilt. But this man stood up for something, he made everyone believe that honesty is still living in Filipinos, he made everyone believe that there's still someone who will choose to be honest than to cheat.
He is Danny Namion a 36-year old Advance Forces Security at NAIA who immediately caught the attention of all the media after giving back something that he doesn't own.
The father of two inspired a lot of people after giving back a backpack that contains P.5M worth of cash or (US$10,700) plus the other valuable gadgets in it. The same bag was mistakenly left inside a baggage cart by a local passenger of NAIA Terminal 1, arrival area.

“Namion’s example should be the standard of good service to passengers. His honesty is worthy of emulation by all other airport personnel,” Airport General Manager Jose Honrado said.
After the investigations, the bag was said to be owned by an OFW engineer based in Malaysia named Jessie Amor who really don't know how to thank Namion for his honesty.

To express her gratitude, she then gave Manong Danny $300 which is already big enough because according to his co-workers he only borrows P100 to buy a decent meal. The $200 was said to be shared with his co-workers.
This man deserves a salute for choosing to be honest and to live as a poor than to steal and live with guilt.
