Mom and daughter reunite after 77 years

Most of women who became pregnant after being raped puts their child in adoption centers. Well, this story is about how this rape victim managed to find her long lost child and this is about a miracle for a mother who never gave up on her daughter.

In 1928, the 16 year old Minka Disbrow was raped while having a picnic in the woods. Few months after the incident, Minka found out that she's pregnant.

The poor girl was sent by her parents to a Lutheran home for pregnant girls and eventually she gave birth to a blond-haired baby she called Betty Jane.

According to Minka, she badly wanted to raise her daughter, but she knew she can't because she's just a teenager and she can't give Betty Jane the best things in life that's why she had no choice but to send her daughter for adoption.

“I loved that baby so much. I wanted what was best,” Minka said.

As time flies, Minka always write letters to adoption agencies to look for updates about her long lost daughter, Betty Jane. She also said that she always think of Betty Jane, especially on the 22nd day of May which is Betty Jane's birthday.

After more than 70 years, Minka again asked God a chance for her to meet her daughter again.

"Lord, if you would just let me see her. I promise you I will never bother her," Minka prayed.

After the long wait, God finally answered Minka's prayers. She received a call from a woman named Ruth Lee. It turns out that the woman who called her is actually her Betty Jane.
