The Philippines' Ice Prince Michael Martinez once again made the Philippines proud for an achievement.

The Olympic figure skater Michael Christian Martinez gave the Philippines a victory after winning a gold medal at the Triglav trophy at the Slovenia.
Michael is a 19 year old Filipino figure skater who always makes the Philippines proud by bringing home big achievements. Michael began skating in 2005 at the SM Southmall ice rink and now, he is into bigger and wider competitions. He is now an international competitor.

Michael was the first skater from the Southeast Asia and the first figure skater from the tropical zone and he is the only athlete to represent the Philippines at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Michael posted on his Facebook account some photos that were taken from the awarding ceremony and even thanked all the people who supports him.
Although Michael fell several times in the short program, he still managed to impress the judges and scored a total of 181.84. Michael Martinez also won the gold in the last year's Triglav.
