This rhinoceros named Sudan is the last northern white male rhinoceros that was left on the planet. He lives in Kenya at Ol Pejeta Conservancy Together in Sudan there also lived two female northern white rhinoceros. It was said that the rhino's horn can be sold at $75,000 and above per kilo which really leads them under a great threat.

There were really 3 male rhinos but unfortunately 2 of the males died in 2014 leaving only Sudan. Since the subspecies of northern white rhinoceros lies on Sudan, he is very well taken care and very well looked after. Because of being the last northern male white rhinoceros, Sudan has a 24/7 armed guard protection.

The guardians of Sudan really take the threat on him very seriously, that's why they wanted it to be protected 24/7. There are 40 armed rangers that patrol around the 90,000-acre conservancy which is also a home to 23 white rhinos and 105 black rhinos making it the largest rhino sanctuary in East Asia.

However, the 40 year old rhino named Sudan is their priority together with the 2 female northern white rhinos that's why they watch them closely.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is hoping that they can raise funds to keep the rhino rangers safe and sound, in return these white rhinos will give a brighter future for the extinct animals like them.
