Growing up, we knew that fishes are meant to swim, dogs are meant to walk and birds are meant to fly. But would you still believe in that if you witness a fish being able to survive on land for six days?
This specie is known as the climbing perch or the anabas testudineus. A fish that is said to be exceedingly aggressive fresh water species.
The Anabas Testudineus was said to be discovered 10 years ago in the small islands of Australia. For the past 30-40 years, this specie was said to be spreading across Indonesia and Papua New Guinea which are both near in the Philippines and there are also speculations that the fishes like this will be reaching the Philippines soon.
According to wikipedia, this specie grows up to 25 cm or 9.8 inches in total length. It can be seen in this less than 20 second video that this fish is actually moving on a dry surface and it is true that it can really survive on land.
Also, according to the uploader of this video on YouTube, these fishes can really bring danger to other marine life by blocking their predator's throat causing them to choke.
