Malaysian Chef: "Philippines is known to have the worst food in Asia"

Malaysian Chef enraged the Filipinos after saying that the Philippines have the worst food

Filipino netizens had bee gushing about the opinion of the Malaysian international chef named Redzuawan Ismail who's popularly known as Chef Wan about the result of the poll that was made by the CNN.

CNN did an online poll wherein they asked their readers "Which destination has the world's best food?", as a result, Taiwan received the top rank while Philippines ranked next to Taiwan.

However, the Malaysian chef seemed to be a bit disappointed with the result of the poll after Malaysia was placed on the sixth spot. According to Chef Wan, Malaysia should be on the top rank and the Philippines should be placed on the bottom part of the list.

“I see food as varieties and flavors that reflect the culture and food, and that is why Malaysia should be the first world’s best food destination.” Chef Wan said in an interview.

Taiwan garnered 8,242 votes which made it reach the highest place on the poll, followed by the Philippines which had a total of 1,528 votes. 

“Philippines is known to have the worst food in Asia, ask any chefs and they will tell you I am right," Chef Wan added.

What Chef Wan said literally made a lot of Filipinos mad. Most foreigners and tourist, indeed loved the food in the Philippines that's why some people just don't know if Chef Wan knows what he's saying.
