Woman built her Tiny dream house in 140 square feet

Have you ever imagined living inside a small house? How small? Let's say that it is just 140-square feet or 13 square meters. Of course you did not because in this generation, people have been dreaming of building a house that is large enough to accommodate all the members of the family as well as having enough space to enjoy.

But it was not the deal for a Filipina architect Vina Lustado. She founded an architectural firm in Ojai, California named Sol Haus Design that lives by the virtues of sustainability, conservation and efficiency.

Instead of having loans on bank, Vina used her funds and built her own home that she designed. The house that she built was tiny yet it is elegant in style. It consists of French doors, it also has a wood burning stove and a solar panel which is the main source of her energy. It means that she has no electricity bills

Vina was a Filipina that was born in the Philippines. Her family emigrated to Los Angeles. She lives along with their family consisting of 10 members. They were sharing a one-bedroom duplex. She earned her architecture degree at the University of Southern California in 1991.

Her tiny home shows that your happiness does not depend on how big your home is, it depends on how contented you are with your life. Vina is satisfied living in her tiny home that is close to her values. The limited space in her home allows her to be aware on the things that she spent her money to.

Living a humble life is what led Vina to opening up her own business which is the small time architectural firm in California that opened in 2010.
