Being a soldier is not easy, you are already far from your home and your life is always in danger.

But a Georgian National soldier named Chris Duke did not expect that the stray dogs that he took care in Afghanistan would eventually save his life.

During his stay in Afghanistan, Chris Duke made friends with three stray dogs named Sasha, Target, and Rufus. These dogs helped them in overcoming the feeling that they have from missing their home.

The soldiers did not expect that these dogs will save their lives.

One day, a suicide bomber came to the site but before he could reach the soldiers, the dogs started barking and biting him until the bomb exploded.

The dogs saved the lives of 50 soldiers. Sasha was severely injured.

Soldier Chris Duke wrote a letter to the officials to bring home the dogs. A lot of organization was moved by their story and in just 3 months the gained $21, 000. Just enough to reunite the soldier and the dogs.

It is surprising how a simple dog could be the one to save your life. Isn't this story touching? Share us your thoughts!
